Cold is easy. Holding it steady through a full service, door after door, is the hard part. Fukushima Galilei builds its AY counters with inverter control, a microcomputer controller and DC fan motors, which its catalogue credits with better energy saving. A fan circulates the cold air through the cabinet.
- Inverter control: in Fukushima Galilei's model key, AYW means an inverter-controlled table type, 750 mm deep.
- Fan-forced cold-air circulation; the internal fan and condenser fan motors are DC-powered and speed-controlled.
- Microcomputer control, with a temperature display redesigned for easier reading.
- Stainless steel interior; stainless doors, front and sides, and a stainless worktop.

Warranty
Fukushima Galilei gives a 10-year refrigerant gas-leak warranty on its plug-in models, introduced in April 2025. It covers cooling faults caused by a refrigerant gas leak; whether a fault is covered depends on its cause, how the unit was used and the conditions around it, under the maker's Free Repair Policy.
We give a 1-year warranty, parts and labour, excluding wear and tear. If a gas leak happens, contact us and we deal with Fukushima Galilei on the claim for you.
After the warranty, we repair what we sell, at published rates.
What the warranty does not cover
To keep the warranty valid, clean the condenser filter regularly. The warranty does not cover:
- wear and tear
- faults caused by water damage, or by a room that is too hot
- a unit that is not standing level, or that was moved or reinstalled by others
- compressor damage caused by a dirty condenser, or by ventilation blocked with plastic or other items
- damage by pests
- wrong use, such as freezing food in a chiller, putting hot soup inside, or making ice from buckets of water
- the self-evaporating kit
Questions about the AYW-122FXA-SI
Centre pillar or pillarless: which should I choose?
The AYW-122FXA-SI has a fixed centre pillar between its two doors; its twin, the AYW-122FXFA-SI, does not (F in Fukushima Galilei codes means centre pillarless). Size, temperature range and ticks are the same.
Choose pillarless if you load wide trays or GN pans, or want the whole inside open for cleaning. Choose the centre pillar if you do a lot of preparation work on top, such as heavy chopping or making dough.
Will it fit under my counter?
It is 1,200 mm wide, 750 mm deep and 800 mm high. Send us your measurements and a photo of the space.
Why does it say 312 L and 216 L?
312 L is Fukushima Galilei's rated volume. 216 L is the net storage volume NEA measured when registering it. Both are correct; they measure different things, so compare NEA figures with NEA figures.
Is it on the EEG list?
Yes. It is on the official GoBusiness EEG supported-equipment list (Food Services list, checked 17 Oct 2026). Your company applies directly, and the application must be submitted before you pay anything or place an order, including a deposit. Our guide explains each step: how to apply for the EEG grant.
What is the lead time?
